If I cry, it means I really liked the book. There are morally grey characters in the book, and some of their actions really amazed me.ħ. This book follows Theodosias quest to win back her country from the wicked Kaiser. I finished this 400+ page book in less than two days, and that has been rare for me for the last few months :’)Ħ. I never got bored while reading the book. I can’t wait to see who Theodosia ends up with.ĥ. It isn’t the main plot of the book, but I really liked the way the love story(s) develops in the last few chapters. All of the characters had different qualities and talents, and their personal stories were really interesting. The storyline reminded me so much of COBAB, and I LOVED that book too. Theo’s bravery, daring nature and plans to defeat the Kaiser instead of giving up were so praise-worthy.Ģ. Theo embarks on a journey to reclaim her throne, using her greatest weapon- her mind, which is sharper than any sword.ġ. After 10 years of imprisonment, one night, with blood in her hands, she realizes that surviving is not enough anymore. She became a captive in her own palace, and was forced to lead her life following the Kaiser’s orders. Theo was crowned Ash Princess- a title of shame to bear in her new life as a prisoner. On that day, the Kaiser took Theodosia’s family, her land, and her name. (The 2nd book came out this month) Her country was invaded when she was six years old, and her mother, the Fire Queen, was murdered before her eyes. I don’t read Fantasy novels a lot, but Ash Princess has inspired me to read more Fantasy from now onwards.Īsh Princess is the first book from the Ash Princess trilogy and it is based on the story of Theodosia.

😭 The reason I didn’t say love, because it is a really strong word, and I kind of expected more from the story. I didn’t expect to like this book so much. Recommended to- Fans of Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi Trigger warning- the book has a lot of abuse in it.
